About me
Jérémie Fraboni is a banjo player and singer deeply rooted in traditional American music. He is a member of the old-time duo Hills of Belgium and the trio Transat, which brings American folk to young audiences in creative and playful ways. He previously led the folk band One Horse Land and also performs his own songs as a solo artist.
Based in Brussels, Jérémie is an active force in the local scene: he helps organize events, jams, and festivals dedicated to celebrating and sharing old-time music, most notably through the Brussels American Roots Session.
His approach to banjo teaching is shaped by years of immersion in the tradition. He has studied with master musicians and tradition bearers and has taught workshops across Europe. Since 2020, he has been teaching weekly at the Muziekpublique World Music Academy in Brussels, where he shares his passion for the instrument and its cultural heritage.
